JENNIFER BARNARD has been writing seriously for about six years and her work has appeared in Famous Reporter, Broad Seat, Together- Alone (an Anti-Cancer Council anthology). Jennifer won a 'Highly Commended' from Dorothy Porter, for her poem in the Anti-Cancer Council poetry competition. Jennifer performs her work regularly at the Republic Bar & Cafe Readings in Hobart, and has won prizes in their competitions. Her work has featured in the RePUBlic chap-book # 6, and she won the Hal Moore prize for poetry in 2001. Jennifer performed on the 'Poets' Omnibus' in the Hobart Summer Festival in 2001. She belongs to 'Watersmeet' haiku group, was runner up in the Hal & Terri Moore poetry prize in 2002. She has performed her work for 'Living Artists' week at the Tasmanian Museum & Arts Gallery's Bond Store 'Blank & Free' Readings, and her work is on the Women Tasmania and The Write Stuff websites. Her poems will soon be broadcast on Adelaide radio 5UV.
