MARGOT MANCHESTER was born in Tasmania in 1947, and is a graduate from the University of Tasmania majoring in Fine Arts.

She is a relatively "new" writer having just completed her first book All or Nothing, which is a biographical, historical, narrative, written creatively in the First Person, and it deals with a grazier's lifestyle challenge, set in Tasmania in the early 1950s.

Margot conducts her own writing group "Let's Write Stories," and as the title suggests participants work progressively through their large and adventurous manuscripts. This group encourages debate and discussion on all aspects of writing. In 2003 she hopes to conduct some writing courses with Burnie campus of Adult Education, and her major writing interests are fiction, biographical or autobiographical and historical genres. "I consider being able to encourage, motivate and inspire people to document their thoughts and experiences, to be very rewarding."
