Dr. STELLA KENT is the author of 40 short stories and 5 plays, DEMONS, A TALE OF ONE CITY, BECAUSE, BOZ & CO., and OUR PATH. The Centre Stage production of BECAUSE was selected for ABC Radio's STAGE OF THE NATION, a series devoted to the most interesting productions from around Australia in 1995, BOZ & CO. was shortlisted for Griffin Theatre Company's Legal and General Award for the most innovative play of 1998, and A TALE OF ONE CITY won the 1995 AWGIE (Australian Writers' Guild Award) for` radio drama. OUR PATH premiered in March of 2001, as part of Robyn Archer's TEN DAYS ON THE ISLAND FESTIVAL. Stella has been teaching in schools and colleges since the 1970s including Alanvale College where she was head of the English Department. Since 1995 she has taught Scriptwriting and the theory of drama in the Performing Arts Department of the University of Tasmania.
