Thursday 23 February, 6:00pm - 7:00pm - The Tasmanian Writers' Centre and Fullers Bookshop launch a new, free program for young writers (13 to 30-something): Twitch.

Twitch takes its name from the John Ciardi quote, “But when the pen is in their hand they have to write by itch and twitch...” Are you interested in writing? Are you into books, journalism, poetry, or anything in between? Would you like access to a like-minded community of young people? Then Twitch is the place for you.We're not too fussed about defining 'young' - teenagers to thirty-somethings are welcome. Hear young Tasmanian writers read their work, eat some stuff, drink some stuff, get in the know, and maybe even find another reason to pick up that pen and write.

Twitch will offer events and on-line support through the Writers' Centre website. After the launch, the on-line program wlll be available to young writers across the state. Reservations to attend the event: xyz@fullersbookshop.com.au
