Writing a novel is a long and often lonely process, and many people get lost along the way. This series of ten monthly workshops will give you support and encouragement, as well as the technical skills needed to begin and/or complete a novel. Part of each session will be spent discussing the craft of writing, while the rest of the time will be devoted to workshopping and some exercises. Emphasis will be on group workshopping of participants’ novels, to illustrate aspects of the craft of writing and develop each individual's work.

Rosie Dub is the author of the critically acclaimed novel, Gathering Storm, and a second novel, Flight, which will be published by Fourth Estate in February 2012. She grew up in Adelaide before moving to Sydney and then London, where she completed an MA in Creative Writing. Rosie lives with her husband and three children in Tasmania, where she works as a structural editor and teacher of creative writing, and has recently submitted her PhD exploring the role of stories in human evolution, their origin, their shape and how we use them.
