Extant: A Literary Press
This new, Perth-based press with a focus on producing experimental poetry. Extant’s editorial vision is to enrich and advance the tradition of experimental literature in Australia. All manuscripts are evaluated for their artistic, poetic and thematic vision and their ability to contribute to the conversation about experimental literature. The mandate of Extant is to:
Provide an opportunity for established writers to publish experimental works which may fall outside mainstream publishing options.

SCREEN HUB TO PUBLISH & SELL AUSTRALIAN FILM AND TELEVISION SCRIPTS. Online industry publication Screen Hub (www.screenhub.com.au) is about to begin publishing Australian film and television scripts as electronic books – downloadable from the web. Although producers hold the publication rights to most film and television scripts, Screen Hub has agreed with the AWG to pay an additional 5% ex-gratia royalty to the writers, in addition to the royalty received by the producers. So now is the time to let your producers know that those scripts now have publication value – and more importantly, that they have to do very little work to unlock it. Screen Hub has created a generous standard publication agreement and has run it by both SPAA and the AWG, and the only requirement is that the scripts are provided in electronic form.  They will do the rest. Un-produced scripts will not be considered. And before you think ‘Nobody wants to buy old scripts!’ – Screen Hub says that they have done extensive research on how many people search for this material on Google each month – and there are a lot of searches. Television scripts will retail for $4.99, and film scripts for $5.99. More information and copies of the standard agreement can be had by contacting Screen Hub’s Managing Director, Alex Prior, on 03 9690 6893 or by email alex@screenhub.com.au

Call for Submissions: ICORN Webzine (www.icorn.org) The International Cities of Refuge Network has launched its new quarterly webzine. ICORN's work focuses on the importance of freedom of expression. Our first webzine issue features the work of award-winning novelist Chenjerai Hove, and the renowned philosopher Etienné Balibar. We are inviting writers to submit essays on the subjects of
1)      nationalism, identity, "the exile experience", patriotism and/or citizenship
2)      cross-cultural literatures, translation, critical analysis of fiction and poetry with an eye on history or current events.
We also welcome submissions of poetry*, short stories or short creative non-fiction for our Babel Voice section; and interviews and dialogues for our In Dialogue section. We are especially interested in work we can publish in two languages and SOUND FILES of oral presentations.
Please note that we have an international focus and that *we receive a disproportionately large number of poetry submissions. We enthusiastically welcome well-crafted essays. See our Masthead for details and submission procedures. www.icorn.org
We are a not-for-profit organization and regret that we do not have funds to pay our contributors at this time. We hope that you will consider the electronic rights to your work as a donation for an important cause.
