After living for over 20 years in the Hunter Valley of New South Wales, Mary and her husband worked in England for two years before settling in Tasmania in 2003.

Since 1993 Mary has been multi-published by Harlequin Mills and Boon in their medical romance line and by Barbour Publishing in the U.S.A. in their Heartsong Presents inspirational (Christian) romance line. She has written both contemporary and historical inspirationals which have been reprinted by Barbour in anthologies called Australia and Australian Outback.  Australia became a bestseller in the U.S. Christian Booksellers Association Top Ten lists in 2000.

Mary’s 17^th title, Return to Baragula, was released in February 2008 by Ark House Press in Sydney. It has reached the Top Ten bestseller list of Koorong, an Australia wide religious bookstore chain, being No 2 in June and No 9 in July – so far! This is Book One in her Baragula series with Book Two,  Outback From Baragula, tentatively scheduled for release early in 2009.

Over the years Mary has enjoyed many speaking engagements, including workshops for other writers. She particularly enjoys sharing the ups and downs of her journey to being published as well as the many aspects of writing novels she continues to learn herself and tries to put into practice. Being a member of several writing organisations has been a very important part of her journey. These include the Society Women Writers Tasmania, Romance Writers Australia and American Christian Fiction Writers.
