Hi,My name is Jim Haas. I live in the Fingal Valley and write an artical for the local paper called Valley Voice, which is published each fortnight. The artical is called "A Little Bit of Heritage" and covers the rich history of the Fingal Valley and East Coast of Tasmania. 2007 is the 150th Birthday of the township of St Marys, which is the main service town at the eastern end of the Valley. To compliment the Sesquicentenary year of the town I have writen a book called "150 Years of Heritage". The book contains some 50 pages of script and photos, all of which gives a good over view of the history of St Marys and the Break O' Day Plains. The book is a community project and sells for $10, plus $3 posage if applicable. It is available from St Marys Railway Station History Room, or by Emailing me at: jimhaas@bigpond.com I have also writen a number of adult, short, fiction stories, which I hope to publish sometime in the furure. |
