Details for Victor Barker:Publications Novels The Tangier Script and The Truth of Everything were both published by Simon & Schuster and chosen as “books of the year“ by The Australian national newspaper. The Tangier Script has been published in France as Retours Sur Tanger.The novel Baudin’s Last Breath was launched at the 2002 Adelaide Writers’ Festival. Victor Barker was the editor of, and a contributor to, an anthology of contemporary Australian writers - Paris Studio - which was launched at the Australia Council for the Arts, Sydney, in November 2001. Novel Krate – The Fool was published in 2005 and novel The Manatee in 2006. Victor Barker received a grant from Arts Tasmania to develop the novel he is currently working on – The Mahogany Beach.Victor Barker had a travel book, Inside The Reef, published by Lansdowne Press and he also writes articles for leading newspapers and magazines. He has worked in journalism, cinema and television in many countries including the UK, US, Africa and Australia. |
