Rosie Dub grew up in Adelaide, then moved to Sydney, where she completed a BA in Communications at the University of Technology, before moving to the UK. In 1997 she completed an MA in Writing from Sheffield Hallam University. Her short fiction and travel writing have been published in both Australia and the UK. Her first novel, Gathering Storm, will be published by Penguin in February 2008. Rosie now lives in Tasmani with her husband and three children. Aside from her writing, she works as a manuscript assessor, structural editor and teacher of creative writing and myths and symbols. She is also a tutor in Journalism and Media Studies at the University of Tasmania where she is working towards a PhD. Her thesis, Story: Mapping the Journey to Self, explores the mythic structure of stories, and storytelling as metaphor for the inner journeys we make.
