JACQUELINE COOKE is a member of the Australian Society of Authors, the Fellowship of Australian Writers and a founding member The Eight Pens Literary Group. Her short stories and poems have been broadcast on both the BBC World Service and the ABC and published in literary journals, magazines, art periodicals, newspapers, anthologies, the Internet 2001 and a CD Rom 2002.

She has been successful in local, interstate and international Short Story Awards and Competitions. She has served on various State Committees including the Tasmanian Writers' Centre, the Fellowship of Australian Writers,Salamanca Arts Centre Arts Sub Committee, the Inaugural State Adult Education Committee and is a former High School Principal.
