LYN REEVES' first poetry collection Speaking with Ghosts appeared in 2002. During May - June, Lyn will be writer-in-residence in Darwin, where she will be a guest at Word Storm (NT Writers' Week Festival). She has collaborated with painters, photographers, workers and scientists for various poetry events. Awards include grants from Arts Tasmania and twice from the Australia Council, a Varuna residency and a writer-in-residence award at St. Helens, Tasmania. Lyn has been a featured reader at the Sydney Writers Festival, The Tasmanian Readers and Writers Festival, The Tasmanian Poetry Festivals, Salamanca Writers' Festival, and at other venues including Republic Readings, Moorilla Poetry Readings and Bond Store readings. Lyn coordinated the Moorilla Cultural Series, from which the anthology Moorilla Mosaic: contemporary Tasmanian writing developed. She is the haiku editor for Famous Reporter, and former secretary for HaikuOz. A collection of her haiku, Walking the Tideline, appeared in December 2001. She is also a small press publisher and editor producing fine books of poetry through her imprint, Pardalote Press. She is currently working towards a poetry collection assisted by the Literature Board of the Australia Council. |
