Goals for 2005 - 2005/03/21 12:10 Hopefully, it's never too late to make a few resolutions.

Here are the things I hope to achieve (a few of them much sooner rather than later):
- finish the libretto i've been working on *forever*
- write a short tv script to enter in the Two Twisted competition
- work my way through "The Right to Write" by Julia Cameron
- post on my blog at least weekly
- complete and distribute at least two issue of the "Say You're Sorry" zine
- write and submit a number of short speculative fiction stories for possible publication
- write an extensive christmas card list and lots of cards

hopefully i can check back in with this list in december and be impressed that i've acheived not only these things but lots lots more!

hope to read other people's goals here soon. click on "reply" to have your say.

Re:Goals for 2005 - 2005/03/24 03:57 I'm impressed with your list, Angela.
Hope you enjoy The Right to Write. I worked through it one summer and enjoyed it a lot and earlier this year I actually started it over again .
I also find Natalie Goldberg's writing books very helpful.

My list of goals is short but nevertheless all consuming :

This year I want to continue writing short stories - my first writing love - but I also have my sights set on a novel. So far it seems to involve an entirely different approach and I feel like I'm playing blind man's bluff a little, but nevertheless I am determined.

Re:Goals for 2005 - 2005/03/25 06:53 Hi, I'm only 13 years old and I'm new to the TWC. I find it interesting to read other people's goals and I felt the urge to post mine. I haven't got very many, but my main longterm goal that I have had for some time now is to become a published author.
I have written a novel, it has taken me over two years and I hope that I will finish editing it soon. I aim to have it published, although I know that I still have a lot of work to do to it. I enjoy writing and in the future I would like to participate in competitions and I hope to publish as many books as possible.

Re:Goals for 2007 - 2005/06/04 08:05 Hi everyone, Well, I am getting in early for next year as this year has been a write-off, so to speak. Hubby ill with cancer, therapy, specialists, etc; I wouldn't wish it on anyone. Maybe next year I will try writing again.

Re:Goals for 2005 - 2005/08/21 12:44 Hi Gecko, good on you! Hope it's going well and you succeed. Don't give up... don't take no for an answer. Every "no" an auther gets is one closer to that "yes". I'm counting mine...
