Each retreat is limited to 6 novel writers, an established novelist and a retreat facilitator. The novelist attached to this first retreat is Ben Kane, a Sunday Times bestselling author of 7 novels set in Europe during the Roman Empire and Treasurer of the Historical Writers’ Association. Ben lives in Bristol, England.

Retreat facilitator, Steve Rossiter, writes numerous book blogs: The Australian Literature Review, Writing Novels in Australia, Writing Historical Novels and Writing Teen Novels. Steve has a BA (Communications), an MA (Writing), and has wide experience in the writing and publishing industry. He is also writing a teen novel set in 1939 Poland, for release around March 2015.
